SCOPE is a nonprofit
organization whose mission is to
provide children in need the edge
to succeed in life through the
summer camp experience.
We accomplish this by funding
camp scholarships at nonprofit
resident camps where children
will benefit from a positive,
safe and healthy environment
led by excellent adult role models,
who will help them develop
their full potential.
SCOPE MIDWEST
In 2007, SCOPE embarked on a national expansion initiative to enable regions throughout the U.S. to launch camp scholarship programs. In partnership with camp directors and supporters from the Chicago area, SCOPE Midwest was established as the first affiliate. Since its inception, SCOPE Midwest has provided over 700 camp scholarships to children in need in the midwest region.
The Bradley Schwartz Campership Fund
Established by family and friends of Brad Schwartz, owner of Banner Day Camp and a co-founder of SCOPE Midwest, the Bradley Schwartz Campership Fund provides summer camp scholarships to honor the memory of Brad Schwartz who passed away in 2011. In keeping with Brad’s dedication to SCOPE and passion about ensuring that all children had access to summer camp, the Fund provides camp scholarships for children who attend camp through SCOPE Midwest. Since 2011 almost $60,000 has been raised for the Fund, and donors continue to honor Brad Schwartz through their generous and heartfelt support.
